Contact centres don’t have a great reputation for employee happiness. They’ve become known for their emphasis on efficiency and strict time management rules that that suck all the enjoyment out of the job of talking to the public. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Middlesbrough’s Evaluagent brings a sense of fun back to contact centres by using gamification to motivate staff to work hard – a carrot rather than a stick. Through good work, staff can earn prizes like days off, better parking spaces or even things like games consoles.
