Tech North has partnered with the Envision Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) based at Lancaster University to offer the possibility for PhD researchers to work with your North West tech company.
Tech North and DTP have been talking about the importance of leading researchers gaining experience within the digital sector while they study. On the flip side, it’s becoming increasingly important that tech companies think about sustainability.
Envision DTP is offering Northern technology companies the chance to be supported by one of their PhD researchers.
How it works
The range of activities that the researcher could support with is vast. It could be anything from working directly with the founder as a PA, to researching emerging markets and products.
Placements can range from two weeks to three months with no cost to the companies. This initiative will help tech companies in the North West get things done that little bit faster. In return, the PhD researchers get the opportunity to work with leading thinkers and new businesses across the region.
Dr Vincent Walsh, said: “There has never been a move exciting time to work within the sciences and technology sector. Therefore, the Envision Programme at Lancaster University has developed this unique internship collaboration with Tech North. We understand the cities of the future – green, ridable, liveable, loveable urban landscapes – will be the ones that are both technologically and environmentally savvy”.
