In February we launched our Northern Voices programme. We had an amazing response, over 80 applications in one week, which we narrowed down to 28 fantastic voices from all over the North.
At the beginning of March, we hosted our workshops and unleashed the Northern Voices onto stages and screens across the country.
What have the Northern Voices been doing?
As Kirsty succinctly explains; Northern Voices is about promoting women who are already doing great things in the tech industry.
So what have they been up to? On the same day as her initial Northern Voices training, Helen Baker went straight from Campus North into a radio booth for Resonance FM. Samantha Deakin recently appeared on stage as a panellist at the UK Business Angel Association conference in Manchester.

Vimla Appadoo went on a trade mission to Atlanta and Jane Tyler shared her expertise with Essential Retail. Becky Boyd and Maya Dibley spoke at the opening of Advanced‘s offices in Knutsford with George Osborne.

Last week, Grace Blakeley also went live on BBC news.
Four of our Northern Voices, Anna Smith, Grace Blakeley, Laura Partridge and Nina Swanwick are also going to be speaking and participating in panels at our upcoming Digital Jobs Action Summit, so we hope to see you there.
