For northern entrepreneurs there are several barriers that hamper their ability to raise. Investors too are disadvantaged by having a sub-standard ecosystem in which to operate.
We’re working on a number of initiatives to improve the investment landscape, for entrepreneurs, businesses and investors.
The Co-Investment Fund
Northern tech entrepreneurs consider accessing investment finance to be the biggest issue alongside skills. There are several barriers that hamper their ability to raise. Investors too are disadvantaged by having a sub-standard eco-system in which to operate. Tech North are proposing a co-investment fund to address these challenges.
Crowdfunding Roadshows
Equity crowdfunding has given British businesses a new way of thinking about finance. As it’s on the rise, we ran a series of equity crowdfunding roadshow events to enable entrepreneurs to find out more about this way of raising finance,with events in Liverpool, Manchester, Wakefield and Newcastle in February 2017.
