Tegan Jones – Biography
An expert in how digital can be used by the third-sector, Tegan is currently a national lead volunteer for Girlguiding, which provides over 500,000 girls aged five to 25 with the opportunity to discover new experiences and grow in confidence. Here, she oversees membership communications for the organisation, alongside chairing a committee of ten selected volunteers to grow visibility of the work the organisation does. In her day job, she also works in digital communications for the Bishop Simeon Trust, which supports vulnerable people in South Africa. Tegan is a foster carer and also volunteers for the domestic abuse helpline at Independent Choices in Manchester. She is passionate about addressing the potential dangers that technology can pose to a domestic abuse survivor and other vulnerable people.
