Tejay White – Biography

Technology has the power to solve problems and improve lives, and this is why Tejay is so passionate about the products she builds.

Currently working for Tribal, an educational software developer, Tejay is responsible for a software suite that supports students in achieving their best possible learning outcomes. She uses design thinking to set the vision for current and new products, making them more smart, useful, efficient and engaging. Tejay previously ran her own company for eight years, contracting in web design and development, e-learning and UX.

Tejay is actively involved in closing the gender gap in tech and is a lead instructor for Code First: Girls, a social enterprise that trains up young women across the country. She also provides mentoring and support for the students, brings a variety of speakers to the classes and gets students involved in conferences – so that they can become part of the tech community, see that tech is a tool to realise ideas, and that it needs to be inclusive to succeed.
